Principal's Message

Belmont Middle School is part of the Shaker Regional School District, located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. As we start the 2021-2022 school year, we anticipate an enrollment of approximately 388 students in grades five through eight. Class sizes throughout the school are under 20 students. It is our intent to meet each student's individual needs as best we can by offering a proficiency based learning environment that allows students to access our curriculum at their academic level.

What's Happening

Belmont Middle School has received the huge honor of being recognized as the
2018 NH Middle School of Year!

New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards 2018

Here is further information about the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Program:

It is the purpose of the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Program to recognize New Hampshire schools and individuals who meet high standards of excellence. The criteria used in selecting outstanding individuals to be honored are determined by their sponsoring organizations.

The awards for the outstanding elementary, middle, and secondary schools are determined by criteria developed by the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Board of Directors and applied by selection committees composed of experienced New Hampshire educators and community leaders. The committees study school applications and assess schools through on-site visitations. Only one school at each of the three levels may be recognized each year, although no schools may be recognized if there are not applicants of sufficient merit. The selection committees determine if schools deserve recognition as schools of excellence, and the winners are announced at the annual New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Celebration.

The 38th annual Gobble Wobble food drive has begun!!!

This year's food drive will run through Tuesday, November 23.

This important BMS community service activity needs your support. In the spirit of serving others, thank you for bringing non-perishable food items to your homerooms and chromerooms where members of the Gobble Wobble collection team will collect them. Remember, also, to prepare for our annual Turkey Trot and Turkey call on November 23.
