Administration

Belmont Middle School is the proud home of the Bulldogs. We are pleased to offer high quality, innovative educational programs to our 343 students in grades five through eight. Our Art, Information Literacy and Computer classes use an integrated model that allows teachers and students to expand their studies by tying in multiple academic areas. Exciting work with curriculum in all subject areas continues to improve instruction to best meet the needs of our students.

We are proud to have a school culture where students take the initiative to improve our school community. From our student led assemblies which recognize student achievements and to the National Junior Honor Society and Student Council members who volunteer their time throughout the community. During our annual Gobble Wobble, students collect thousands of pounds of food for local food pantries over the holidays. Students take part in a weekly school-wide recycling program in which recyclables are collected and brought to the local recycling center.

We have expanded our programs with the use of the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. VLACS is a web based program that allows the middle school students to experience learning opportunities online. VLACS provides individualized instruction to accommodate students unique learning style and allows staff to customize curriculum to meet specific student goals.

One of our main school-wide goals this year will be to continue the implementation of a multi-tiered instructional intervention system for our students (RTI). Students that are in need of academic assistance will be in small groups during a designated time of the day, outside of their academic classes. Staff will work with these students on their specific weaknesses to strengthen their skills and help them in becoming more academically successful.

The Belmont Middle School PTO continues to receive much deserved recognition as a Blue Ribbon School organization by the New Hampshire Partners in Education. The endless effort of supporting our teachers with classroom projects, running our school fundraiser and bringing the school community together during the Fall Fling is appreciated by all. Thank you for all that you do.

As the Principal of Belmont Middle School, I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful school community. This school district is a great place to be because of the hard working staff that provides our children with a high quality education and the amazing students, parents and community member. I thank you for your commitment to the success of educating our children.

Respectfully submitted,

Aaron Pope, Principal
